Midi 1

Intended use

The Midi 1 slurry tanker is designed for the transport and application of slurry, as well as the transport of liquid waste.

Construction

The tanker is of monocoque, single-axle construction. Both the tank and the drawbar are galvanised.

Standard equipment

The standard equipment of the tanker includes a compressor. The Midi 1 version is fitted with a Jurop PN58 or MEC 6500 compressor with an output of 6,500 l/min (air flow rate).

The compressor ancillaries comprise:

  • a float valve that cuts off the air flow once the tank is full,
  • an overflow vessel to prevent liquid from entering the compressor,
  • an oil separator with silencer, in which the oil mist generated during compressor operation is collected; the oil is captured by the filter system and can be drained via a valve at the bottom of the separator; such oil is not suitable for reuse.

Running gear and braking system

  • pneumatic, dual-line braking system,
  • parking brake.

Filling and spreading system

At the rear of the tanker there is a hydraulically operated gate valve used for filling or pumping slurry or other substances.

  • standard splash plate with a spreading width of up to 12 m,
  • option to unhitch and swing the splash plate aside on a hinge in order to attach a hose,
  • side couplings enabling the tank to be filled from the side.

Tank

  • top-mounted 600 mm access hatch for ease of cleaning,
  • opening rear floor,
  • overpressure safety valve to protect against pressure build-up,
  • sight gauges on the front end plate indicating the liquid level.

Optional extras

The scope of optional extras is wider than on the Eco version. A special tank variant may be produced on request.

  • aluminium side boxes for suction hoses,
  • hydraulic auger agitator,
  • tube-type level indicator,
  • toolbox,
  • hydraulically submerged hose,
  • hand wash tank,
  • wider choice of tyres compared to the Eco version.

Other items of equipment

  • 6 m suction hose,
  • 5″ valving,
  • galvanised mudguards,
  • lighting dependent on the type approval variant; in the European type-approved version, a rear light board is fitted.
