During this year's edition of the Agro Show trade fair, held at the airfield in Bednary near Poznań, Meprozet Kościan presented several new machines designed for the agricultural and municipal sectors. One of the more notable exhibits was a road trailer for the transport and distribution of drinking water.
Why this design?
Interest in mobile water distribution solutions is growing within the municipal machinery market. Traditional tractor-drawn tankers do not always meet the requirements of municipal companies and emergency services. Meprozet has introduced a road trailer that can be towed by a van, pick-up, or larger SUV, which increases flexibility of use in emergency situations.
Technical equipment
The hot-dip galvanised tank, with a capacity of 1,500 l, is mounted on a frame. The basic equipment specification includes:
- top-mounted access hatch Ø 400 mm and rear access hatch Ø 600 mm,
- tube-type liquid level indicator with overflow,
- 2-inch bottom valve with fire hose coupling for easier filling,
- draw-off bar with 4 taps and a drain valve for complete emptying.
Safety and operation
The construction holds PZH approval, which is an essential requirement when carrying water intended for human consumption. The trailer also incorporates practical solutions — LED lighting, a mechanical support jack, and plastic mudguards. To ensure safety when the tank is left at the distribution point (e.g. during natural disasters), fixed stabiliser legs have been fitted, enabling the towing vehicle to be uncoupled.
Options and additional equipment
The range also comprises units with other capacities, such as 1,000 and 2,000 litres, together with customisation options: a height-adjustable drawbar, shock absorbers, and a spare wheel.
